The Liberty Party cannot determine when life begins. A religious view may begin life prior to the point of conception, thereby placing the use of natural or artificial contraception as the taking of a life. Coercion, rape and incest will deny a woman her right to choose when, whether, and by whom to bring a child into the world. The Liberty Party cannot condone a requiring of a woman to bear a child against her will, but believes the government would have an impossible task attempting to determine whether a pregnancy was willing or not. For this reason the Liberty Party condemns the willing or unwilling abuse of the procreative process and believes moral questions on terminating of a life in the early phase of pregnancy is best left to the mother or the citizens of the state. The Liberty Party discourages all forms of birth control, the bringing of an unwanted child to the world, and abortion, believing them inconsistent with religious principles of self-control and discipline.
