Might the Supreme Court be the jealous son who, having established himself on his father's throne, is determined to construct his own immortal legacy, so that he, and only he, will reign supreme?
The United States Constitution and it's amendments made into law what
religion had commanded of citizens; that each treat the others equally, but the
Court, in time, made clear that not quite all citizens were equal; not those
professing a belief in the Father.
Seeing citizens high respect and reverence for the Father, the Court proclaimed that He, being so honored, must be specially protected, and awarded Him an uncommon place on the bus; in the back, where He could not disturb or offend other passengers on the road of life.
The Court then proceeded on a ruthless campaign to eliminate all mention of the Father, under the pretext that he must be "separated" from society for his own good, and so that he doesn't influence the others.
With it's father removed from the competition, the Court was unrestricted from establishing the secular humanism belief, and it's worship of pleasures derived from mating with contraception, a practice that had been strictly forbidden by the Father.
The Court has muzzled it's father, but has not entirely succeeded in it's shenanigans. Ancient Jehovah may one day choose to flex his omnipotent power and tear the Court judgments to shreds with a thunderous demand for obedience to the Constitution.
