Christianity is not about sex, and efforts to make it so amount to silliness. Homosexuality is about sex and resides on our slippery slope, about halfway down. It is wrong because there can be no thought of child. It is an abuse of the procreative organs, and ultimately will degrade a society and bring upon it the misery of unwanted pregnancies, terminated children, and single and no parent children who are cursed at birth. There are those of a free spirit, shunning the trappings of traditional society, and desirous of experimentation. Any of this might be called deviant. It is not necessarily bad, but may become so when it begins to interfere with the higher values of self-control and discipline, to a point of degrading a society. The gay life was not so long ago an expressing of a carefree living that had encompassed members of society that stepped outside of normal church and family, to perhaps wine-and-dine, eat , drink and be merry. It is not so far from the message of Jesus, who asked that we love one another and break bread in respect for God, our creator and provider. Both wine and newborns poured freely in New Testament doctrine, but absent excesses and failure of self-control, regarding virtuous behavior. Life, not pleasures, is the pearl of existence, and deviant activities may seem fun but will ultimately rob a man of his rightful heritage: the tree of life; and his gain is a knowledge of good and evil. A forgetting of the child fails the test of religion. Homosexuality cannot produce a child and will bring a disrespect for life. What do we tell those that feel a same sex arousal? A society that perverts the birth process will find itself with sexually confused children, for both religion and logic tells us that we may love others, without concern for gender. When child is kept foremost in mind, two or more same-sex individuals may freely express love for one another, even to love that another equally as himself. No shame can come of it because his spirit is pure; he has no desire for producing children that cannot be produced, and he will not engage in sexual activity. He has eaten of the tree of life, not good and evil, and will not become a participant in a wrongheaded societal effort that will bring new children into the world that are not wanted. God’s plan on earth will be realized, or inched closer to, at least. |
